Vinyl Record Day August 12th

There’s an interesting site: www.vinylrecordday.org that’s dedicated to “the Preservation of the Cultural Influence, the Recordings and the Cover Art of the Vinyl Record“ and “promoting the future of vinyl”.

August 12th is the date recognised as the day Edison invented the phonograph.

It’s American, so active participation by VOTN won’t be possible, but it’s an interesting site and one that I recommend you visit and bookmark.

Personally I think all governments should declare National Vinyl Day a public holiday – but then I’m biased!
