The Rings rehearsals 7″

Out now on Overground Records (OVER 182) is a 300 only on a variety of colour vinyl 7″ of two rehearsal tracks ‘I Wanna Be Free’ b/w ‘Automobile’ that would later go on to comprise the debut single by The Rings, released on Chiswick Records in 1977.

The Rings released just that 7″ but Alan Lee Shaw would go on to The Maniacs, The Physicals and much later The Damned. Twink who is probably best know for his work with Pink Fairies continued to have a long and illustrious career.

The versions are much rawer than those that later appeared on the Chiswick release and it’s a must for all 70s punk and Killed By Death collectors.
