A music genre that blended Punk and Metal – especially Black Sabbath – which developed in Seattle around the Sub-Pop label in the mid-1980s.
Clothes were shabby and unkempt, jeans usually worn-through and hair worn long. Many bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Hole achieved global success, but with the death of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain in 1994, aged just 27, the movement soon petered out.
There are around 260 individual items in the catalog, one of them being L7’s Bradford 10/4/92 gig ticket (featured above), for one.
