Madchester – when fashion went baggy and tie-dyed, the indie kids got close to raving, E was the drug of choice and everything good seemed to emanate from The Hacienda club in Manchester.
The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, James, Inspiral Carpets, Charlatans, etc. ruled the music. The scene's heyday was '89 to '92 and then came Britpop, but that's another story.
There are around 40 distinct items on our shelves, including James’ September 1993 Press Photo (featured above).
