A large Talking Heads collection is busily being added to the database. There’s many 12″, especially foreign releases and promos like the pictured Road To Nowhere USA 2-version 12″ promo, 7″ singles in gorgeous covers and some rare LPs as well as many spin-off projects by David Byrne and Tom Tom Club.

Might take a two or three months to get them all in, so if you’re a Talking Heads collector, keep checking back.

Just come my way is a very good Robyn Hitchcock collection, which was part of a much larger purchase, so it’ll take a few months to get everything onto the database, but already I’ve added some nice items including: The Bells Of Rhymney test pressing (pictured), One Long Pair Of Eyes (USA test pressing), The Man Who Invented Himself (Greek only compilation), Flesh Number One (USA blue vinyl promo), If You Were A Priest (USA promo) and a very nice condition Black Snake Diamond Roll LP.

Just arrived, the totally awesome Zounds 7″ box set on Broken Rekids. It contains all 5 x 7″, two posters a download card and a badge. Packed in a high quality box and sealed. It really is impressive!

I’ll be doing them for just £30 (while stocks last) which if you Google it you’ll see is cheap!

Just arrived are vinyl copies of the superb new album by Zounds The Redemption of Zounds on American label Broken Rekids. They’re not yet on the site but if you’d like one they’re £10 each and I also have the CD on Overground Records for £7.50.

The size of the Garage-surf-Lo-Fi-Trash section will more than double thanks to a wonderful collection of 7″ and LPs from that peak 90s era. There’s great labels like: Estrus, Rip Off and Sympathy For The Record Industry and many bands like: Mono Men, Supercharger, Cowsligers, Insomniacs, Nomads etc.

There’s many related artists as well that don’t quite fit into that scene like: The Lyres, Real Kids, DMZ, New York Dolls, Slickee Boys.

Been adding a collection of original 70s and 80s badges to the database. There’s the obvious artists like Specials, Sex Pistols and Adam Ant, but also some more unsual ones from the likes of The Buzzards, Punishment of Luxury and Monochrome set – badges I very rarely (if ever) see.

Also added some unusual memorabilia such as the original artwork  for the Vice Squad fan club card, Disorder promo stickers, the amazing Banned in DC book, some Flipsides and a load of press photos. I like 10″ x 8″ press photos, they’ve totally disappeared in the digital age – shame!

I’ve just added images to the Punk bubblegum cards in the database and seeing them again made me chuckle. The Clash, Pistols, Generation X etc. are obvious choices for the series, Dr. Feelgood, Jonathan Richman – yes at a push, but Dwight Twilley, The Baby, Gruppo Sportivo – NO! NO! NO! Never in a million years!!!! Whoever compiled this series should be shot.

I have to recommend The Vibrators cards, they’re actually Judas Priest. Brilliant!!

A large collection of Weller and Jam vinyl has come the way of VOTN. This includes all the Weller albums, some of the rarer Jam albums like Live Jam and Extras as well as many 10″, 12″ and 7″ singles. They should all be on the next update due in a few days time.

Acquired a good collection of REM 7″ and 12″ rarities.
