Legendary USA punk band Dead Kennedys play Newcastle Academy on 24th May in support of their rather crappy and totally pointless compilation album ‘Milking The Sacred Cow’. Even the artwork is naff. If you wany a compilation ‘Give Me Convenience…’ is a far better release.

Cute Lepers album & tour
The Cute Lepers, formed by The Briefs Steve E Nix have their debut album released next Monday on Damaged Goods records.
I have a promo copy and it’s wonderful, far less frantic and more power-pop than The Briefs, definitely easier to listen to.
